Heartwood pine floors, knotty pine wainscoting, and a fieldstone fireplace create a traditional but luminous cottage interior". Designed by architect Marco Silveri and built by Roger Widing of R. Widing Construction with landscape architecture by Cynthia Silveri, the cottage intentionally minimized the impact on the spectacularly treed acre the owners had spent the prior 10 years camping on while dreaming of the future cottage they would build.
